C-Media Publishing House strikes a deal to acquire Audiomagazine, the leading and oldest High End audio magazine in Russia.
This deal means that a largest and unique synergetic media platform dedicated to premium audio and video electronics has been created.
Audiomagazine was established in 1993 by a group of private investors and has ever since remained an important source of information and a discussion platform for High End audio enthusiasts, in many ways defining the development of this market in Russia. Together with C-Media owned largest website Hi-Fi.ru and same-titled printed magazine, it will represent a unique offer to both readers and advertisers.

Following changes have been made within C-Media’s management in connection with the deal. Anatoliy Maksimenko, formerly Deputy Editor-in-Chief, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Hi-Fi.ru magazine, whereas Alexander Chechelev, Publisher of C-Media’s AV group, will personally supervise and manage the content and design of Audiomagazine to secure magazine’s continued development.
Besides Audiomagazine, C-Media Publishing House owns Hi-Fi.ru and Paprazzi magazines and websites, CAR magazine, <a href="http://www.cars.ru/" target="_blank">Cars.ru</a>, EMPIRE magazine, <a href="http://www.film.ru/" target="_blank">film.ru</a>, <a href="http://www.newsland.ru/" target="_blank">newsland.ru</a>, <a href="http://www.gidepark.ru/" target="_blank">gidepark.ru</a> social network, <a href="http://www.i-worker.ru/" target="_blank">i-worker.ru</a> social network, Stereokiller B2B digital music provider, Soyuz Jurnalistov banner exchange network.
According to Google Analytics, the audience of C-Media owned websites amounted up to more than 27 million visitors in August 2011. C-Media also holds a majority in SocialCraft SMM agency and gaming company (audience of more than 13 million people).
